Description
Applied Biosystems ProFlex PCR System with a 3 × 32-well head is a modular endpoint thermal cycler for nucleic-acid amplification. The chassis (control unit, touchscreen, power, networking) accepts interchangeable sample blocks. Three independent 32-well, 0.2 mL modules let three users run three different protocols at the same time.

Three independent 32-well blocks — Each 0.2 mL module (tubes or 8-strips) runs its own program. 2-zone VeriFlex per module for two annealing temperatures per 32-well section. Reaction volume typically 10–80 µL.
Interchangeable blocks — Swap the 3 × 32 head for 96-well VeriFlex, dual 96-well, dual 384-well, or dual flat (OpenArray) without a new instrument.
Thermal performance — Range 0–100 °C; accuracy ±0.25 °C (35–99.9 °C); uniformity <0.5 °C (20 s after 95 °C). Peak block ramp on the 3 × 32 configuration is typically ~3 °C/s (sample ~1.6 °C/s); other blocks reach up to 6 °C/s. Fast and standard protocols.
8.4-inch color TFT touchscreen — On-instrument programming; USB + onboard memory; auto-restart after power loss; program overwrite protection. Remote access via app / cloud / Ethernet / Wi-Fi; multi-user control of the three blocks.
