These vortexers are designed to hold multiple test tubes, vials, or cylinders. The vortexing action is created by securing the top of the vessel in place while allowing the bottom to move freely in a defined 3.6mm eccentric orbit.

Two stainless steel posts hold support plate securely in place for quiet, rattle-free mixing. Support plate is easily adjusted by loosening knobs and lifting plate up and down. The circular groove around the top of the taller post allows the support plate to swing away from tray for easy removal of samples. The suction-cup feet dampen motion and prevent sliding on work surface. Constructed of rugged stainless steel with corrosion-resistant paint. Equipped with a powerful, permanent magnet motor with sealed ball bearings. Motor is rated for continuous duty.

VWR analog vortexers feature solid-state electronic control that allows adjustable speed from 1200–2400 rpm and an automatic timer adjustable from 0–60 seconds for simple repeat procedures. Conveniently angled front panel features main power switch, knobs for speed and timer adjustment, and mode switch with timed mode, off, and continuous mode operations.

 

VWR Signature digital vortexers feature a microprocessor controller for digital programming of both speed and time, along with a pulse feature for difficult mixing applications. Ideal for applications that require accuracy and repeatability. Speed and time can be set simply by pressing “up” and “down” arrows. The speed range is 500–2500rpm, set in 25rpm increments. Digital readouts of both speed and time are easily viewed from an easy-to-read LED display. Timer can be programmed to run 1–9999 minutes (over 160 hours) or can be set to run in continuous mode. The extremely versatile pulsing feature stops and starts the unit in predetermined increments to add further agitation to mixing process. Pulsing program can be set from 1 second on/off up to 59 seconds on/off, allowing for a wide variety of pulsing combinations. Pulsing can be operated in both timed and continuous mode.
