This is an automated system for precise water determination by coulometric KF titration, including oven extraction of bound water from solids, powders, oils, and other samples that cannot be titrated directly. The C30S performs the titration; the compact InMotion KF Flex oven heats samples and transfers released moisture in a dry carrier-gas stream to the titration cell. The setup includes the titration cell and electrodes, solvent/waste handling, 10 mL sample vials and glassware, and connectivity for a PC running titration software. The combination is designed for high-throughput, reproducible KF moisture analysis with reduced operator handling and sealed-cell operation.
Key Features and Specifications
Measurement range: typically 1 ppm–5% water (approx. 10 µg–200 mg H₂O); resolution 0.1 µg; repeatability ~0.3% above 1 mg H₂O.
C30S titrator: 5.7" color VGA touchscreen with One Click® interface, user-specific home screen (up to 12 shortcuts), task list (up to 10), up to 150 user methods / 120 samples per series; generator cell.
InMotion KF Flex oven autosampler: 24 positions, 10 mL borosilicate vials with one-piece FEP screw caps; temperature range 40–280 °C; heating rate ~70 °C/min; stability ±0.5 °C, accuracy ±3 °C; integrated digital gas flowmeter; air or nitrogen carrier gas; optional heated transfer tube.
Automation and throughput: unattended series of up to 120 samples; gas-phase extraction for solids and difficult matrices; compact ~25 cm platform footprint.
Software and connectivity: Via USB or Ethernet for method control, data management, reporting, and 21 CFR Part 11 support; USB printers, barcode readers, and memory sticks.
Titrator size/weight: approx. 210 × 340 × 312 mm, 3.3 kg; 100–240 V, ~35 W. Autosampler ~9.3 kg.
